An inquest held at Bootle Town Hall today heard how Reuben Reynolds was found face down in a pond in the rear garden of his home on Brownmoor Lane in Crosby on Saturday, July 18. Evidence, read to the court by coroner's officer Laura Daniels, said: 'On Saturday, July 18, Reuben was located face down in a pond in the rear garden of the property in Crosby.' The child, who was born in Liverpool, was taken to Alder Hey Children's Hospital by ambulance, where he died at 10.57pm on Sunday, July 19. A post-mortem is yet to be carried out but is expected to take place this week, senior coroner Anita Bhardwaj explained to the court. A full inquest has not yet been listed, with the listing dependent on the post-mortem. Both Merseyside Police and North West Ambulance Service attended the incident.
