Botola Pro Reschedules Postponed Championship Rounds, Hours After Releasing New Dates
Rabat – Botola Pro has revealed the new schedule of the postponed matches following a sparkling controversy, hours after an earlier official announcement had set the dates for Rounds 10 and 11.
“The National Professional Football League announces the rescheduling of the postponed matches of rounds 10 and 11 of the ‘Inwi’ Professional Championship, following the international break for national team commitments,” the League stated.
The decision comes after some clubs exercised their legal rights under paragraph 6 of Article 20 of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation’s (FRMF) competition law. The law allows the League to review the schedule in a way that balances the interests of all parties, even if clubs had previously agreed to hold the matches on the announced dates.
The professional league explained that this move ensures that players called up to the Moroccan national team can perform under the best conditions while representing their country.
Botola Pro announced that it will release the detailed schedule for the postponed matches on its official channels at a later date.
