By PERKIN AMALARAJ, FOREIGN NEWS REPORTER Published: 17:05, 23 June 2026 | Updated: 17:30, 23 June 2026 Boris Becker had a £5,000 watch seized from him by bailiffs on behalf of his ex-wife, moments before he was due to be interviewed on stage, Lilly Becker's lawyer has revealed.  At an event on Sunday celebrating the 30th anniversary of a caravan dealer in the western German town of Bad Honnef, the tennis legend had the timepiece taken from him just before he was about to be interviewed by Sky Sports Germany presenter Riccardo Basile.  At around 2pm local time, three police officers, along with a bailiff from Königswinter District Court, entered the building the event was held in and found Becker.  Dr. Michael Scheele, a lawyer representing Dutch model Lilly Kerssenberg - who married Boris in 2009 before they announced their separation in 2018 - told the Daily Mail that his team got a court order to 'seize whatever [Becker] had with him.'  Scheele added: 'He didn't have any cash, so [the bailiff] seized the watch.' The lawyer, who has represented Lilly since last year, claimed the move to get a court order to seize Boris' assets from him was made as Boris has refused to pay Lilly what he owes her following their acrimonious divorce.  Scheele said that he and his team would keep filing court seizure orders until they got what they needed from him, but added: 'The better alternative is that Boris comes around and makes a decent offer and we come to some sort of agreement. Lilly is open for that. She doesn't want this war. She doesn't want it at all.'  Bunte, a German magazine, reported that seizure of the watch 'went smoothly.' A spokesperson for the court told the magazine: 'Boris Becker behaved politely and correctly and was cooperative. Since he wasn't carrying any cash, only his wristwatch was confiscated. There was nothing else to seize.' Boris Becker (pictured, left) had a £5,000 watch seized from him by bailiffs on behalf of his ex-wife Lilly (pictured, right) Becker was confronted at an event on Sunday celebrating the 30th anniversary of a caravan dealer in the western German town of Bad Honnef Shortly after Boris and Lilly's 2018 separation, a UK family court ordered Becker to pay her £8,000 a month in child maintenance, which Lilly's legal team says he has failed to do.  As a result, Scheele says, Lilly is furious with her ex-husband, a three-time Wimbledon winner.  He told the Mail: 'She has complained a few times that he's not taking care of his son. Not enough anyway. Of course he's not. How could you ever justify what he's doing, or rather than not doing? He's not a good father. He is ignoring Amadeus.  'Of course, he invited him last year or the year before to go to Dubai and have a good time. But looking back, when you see what all happened thereafter, it seems to me that this is just a postcard picture motif. 'Lilly has always wished that he has more contact with his son. But not only for postcard images, taking him here and there and taking nice pictures, pretending that he is a good father.  'No, she wanted him to be a father, not only someone who presents a son for a postcard image. Of course, they are expecting to get money for the boy.'   Boris' lawyer, Christian-Oliver Moser, told German newspaper Bild that his client 'has been making substantial payments for his son Amadeus for years and has also been voluntarily paying around €6,500 per month in maintenance (including school fees and school transport) since August 2025.' He added that Becker had offered, among other things, 'a lump sum of €100,000' to settle the issue with his ex-wife. Moser added: 'This settlement offer, fair to all parties involved, was rejected by the ex-wife as too low.' Moser said Boris plans to continue fighting 'as long as his ex-wife is not prepared to reach an amicable and fair solution for all parties.' He added that Becker will also not allow himself to be 'coerced into payments by Lilly and her lawyer that completely lack any sense of reality.' Moser told the Daily Mail: 'It’s obvious that this is solely about their lawyer’s media presence (who, incidentally, has a very poor track record) and about improving the mother’s financial situation, not about child maintenance.  'In any case, I’m very confident that this ‘game’ will soon be brought to an end by a German court.' Boris and Lilly got married in 2009, before announcing their separation in 2018  Asked what will happen to the watch, Lilly's lawyer, Dr. Michael Scheele, told the Mail: 'The bailiff still has it. We can auction it. He can come and offer us a certain amount of money to get it back.  'At least it might pay for one month of alimony to his son.' Quizzed on what he thought of Boris' alleged refusal to pay the full amount of child maintenance, he said: 'This is an insult to his son. He knows that this money is owed to his son. He's a minor, after all.  '[Boris] care[s] about a few sons, yes, and [his] daughter that has just been born, but [he doesn't] care about a minor who is 16. I feel disgusted.'
