A court attendance notice was issued to Ahmed on Wednesday for alleged domestic violence offences of common assault and stalking or intimidation with intent to cause fear of physical harm. The charge comes months after the alleged March 9 assault at a Bankstown home, which police say was reported nearly a week later. Ahmed is due to appear in Bankstown Local Court on July 29. He allegedly put the elderly man in a headlock, 7News reported. Police have also taken out an Apprehended Violence Order on behalf of his father, which prohibits Ahmed from assaulting, stalking, harassing, or contacting him. He is also required to stay at least 100 metres away from his father's home and workplace. On Thursday, Ahmed responded to the allegations and told the ABC: 'It's fake information, it's not true at all. I don't have any information at all'. The charges against the Bondi hero come days after his two brothers, Hozifah and Sameh Al Ahmed, appeared in court for allegedly threatening him over the phone.
