Atalanta have returned with a new and improved offer for Bologna winger Jonathan Rowe worth in excess of €35m, but the Rossoblu have made it clear that they do not want to part ways with the Englishman at this stage of the summer transfer window according to multiple outlets in Italy.
Bologna turn down another Atalanta bid for Rowe
According to various sources including Sky Sport Italia, Atalanta have sent a second bid to Bologna for former Marseille and Norwich City winger Rowe, worth €35m plus bonuses. They had seen a €30m offer turned down by the Rossoblu last week.
The latest offer of €35m plus bonuses has also been turned down by Bologna, who are adamant that they do not want to lose a third key first-team player this summer, having already sold Santiago Castro to Roma and Jhon Lucumi to Juventus this window.
Sky claims that it is a Bologna club policy to not part ways with any more than two key players per summer.
It remains to be seen whether or not Atalanta will come back in with another increased offer for Rowe before the close of the summer transfer window next week.
If they do not, Sky reports that Napoli’s Noa Lang is still among the alternative options for Atalanta.
