Body of young musician, 23, who vanished while mountain biking over a year ago is found in tragic discovery

Michael Curnow's remains were found in the Mount Crawford Forest, northeast of Adelaide, on Tuesday following a tip-off from a member of the public who found a mountain bike and helmet. Mr Curnow, who was a talented musician, had disappeared on April 24 last year. He told his parents he was 'going to do some contemplating' in the hills as he loaded his mountain bike into the car and drove off, The Advertiser reported. An extensive search was launched after he didn't return home, while his black Hyundai station wagon was found on April 25 near where he went missing. Dashcam footage had captured a man matching Mr Curnow's description walking along a road near Kersbrook, about 15 minutes away from the forest, the morning after he disappeared but there weren't any further sightings. Police said they are not treating his death as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
