Ofisi'nin haftalık basın toplantısında, ABD ve İsrail'in İran'ı hedef almasıyla Orta Doğu'da artan istikrarsızlık ve bunun insani yardım faaliyetlerine etkisine ilişkin değerlendirmelerde bulundu. "Orta Doğu krizinin oluşturduğu domino etkisi, bölge dışındaki yardım çabalarını da zorluyor." diyen Wolf, burada yaşanan krizin, bölgenin çok ötesine uzanan geniş kapsamlı etkileri olduğunu belirtti. Wolf, BMMYK'nin ulaşım maliyetlerindeki artışlar ve yük taşımacılığındaki aksamalar nedeniyle dağıtım stratejisini değiştirmek zorunda kaldığını söyleyerek, bu durumun küresel insani yardım tedarik zincirleri ve yardım dağıtımı üzerinde giderek artan sonuçları olduğuna değindi. Hürmüz Boğazı da dahil olmak üzere Körfez'in kilit güzergahları çevresinde artan güvensizlik ve istikrarsızlığın, deniz trafiğini aksattığını belirten Wolf, dünya genelinde artan yakıt, gıda ve navlun maliyetlerinin fiyatları yükselttiğini ve kritik malzemelerin teslimatını geciktirdiğini dile getirdi. Wolf, yüksek ulaşım ve yakıt maliyetlerinin, milyonlarca mülteci ve yerinden edilmişler dahil acil durumdaki insanları orantısız etkilediğine işaret etti. Bu durumun, hayati önem taşıyan desteklerin azalmasına ve gecikmesine yol açtığına değinen Wolf, yaşananların, yardım kuruluşlarının ciddi finansman kısıtlamaları altında zamanında yardım sağlama yeteneğini de azalttığının altını çizdi. Wolf, "BMMYK, aksaklıkları azaltmak için Akabe çevresinden deniz kargolarını yeniden yönlendirerek ve Dubai'den Arap Yarımadası ve Türkiye üzerinden kamyon taşımacılığı da dahil alternatif kara koridorlarına olan bağımlılığı artırarak hızla uyum sağladı." dedi. Önemli denizcilik rotalarının kapanmasının, daha uzun ve pahalı alternatiflerin daha fazla kullanılmasını zorunlu kıldığını anlatan Wolf, bunun da transit sürelerinin uzamasına ve operasyonel karmaşıklığın artmasına yol açtığını kaydetti.
