Once they hit the playoff stage they dominated Team Spirit 2-0, before coming out on top in a much closer match against Team Liquid. Then it was time for the first matchup against Aurora, who also went 3-0 in the Swiss group stage and took down South American Rejects and Parivision 2-1 in the early stages of the upper bracket. When the two teams clashed for the first time it was a back and forth series with some very long games, including a marathon 82 minute battle, but eventually BetBoom came out on top to secure a spot in the grand final. Aurora would go on to beat Team Falcons 2-0 in the lower bracket to set up a rematch in the final, but BetBoom just looked to be a clear step ahead on the final day.
