muhabirine, üniversitede 3 yıl öncesine kadar yalnızca kayıtlı 133 proje bulunduğunu belirterek, araştırma ekosistemini değiştirecek ciddi çalışmalara imza attıklarını söyledi. Halen 10'un üzerinde yüksek bütçeli Avrupa Birliği projelerinin bulunduğunu vurgulayan Oğurlu, şöyle konuştu: "Bugün geldiğimiz noktada 3 yıl içindeki değişimle, 2026 yılında 1000 BAP sayısına ulaştık. Bilimsel araştırma projemizde 3 yıl içinde 9 katlık ciddi büyüme oldu. Sadece sayıca değil, nitelik açısından da yükselen projelerimizin değeri bizi heyecanlandırıyor. Şu ana kadar aynı anda 1000 bilimsel projesi yürüten başka üniversite bilgisine ulaşamadık. Bu projeler yalnızca bilginin üretilmesi değil bilginin projeye dönüşmesi, onun da gerçek hayata tekabül eden bir değerinin olması gerekiyor. Bunu da çok önemsiyoruz. Artık, bilginin ticarileştirilmesi veya piyasaya da hitap etmesi bekleniyor." Yücel Oğurlu, patente dönüşme potansiyeli olan projelere ayrıca destek verdiklerini belirtti. Prof. Dr. Oğurlu, öğrencilerin TÜBİTAK projelerinde akademisyenler birlikte çalışarak araştırma ekosisteminin içinde yer aldıklarını dile getirdi. Üniversitenin kendi ürettiği kaynaklardan gelen gelirlerinin 3 yıl için 10 kat büyüdüğünü vurgulayan Oğurlu, öğretim üyelerine projelerden geçen yıl yaklaşık 57 milyon lira destek verdiklerini ifade etti. Araştırma üniversitesi olduklarının altını çizen Oğurlu, şunları kaydetti: "Projelerimiz, tıbbi aromatik bitkilerden hayvancılığa, arıcılıktan yapay zeka alanlarına, turizmden savunma sanayine kadar birçok alanda yer alıyor. Geçen yıl sadece Özbekistan ile bile 55 yayın ve ortak proje çalışması gerçekleştirdik. Üniversitemiz bünyesinde teknokentimiz ve teknoloji ofisimiz aktif çalışıyor. Akademisyenlerimizin firmaları burada piyasa değeri olan projeler ve ürünler ortaya çıkartıyor. Savunma sanayinde hava ve uzay taşıtlarının imalatına yönelik projemiz var. Mühendislik yöntemiyle akıllı amfibi tasarım ve prototip üretimi var. Yürüyen robotik sistemlerde inovatif çalışmalar var. Temiz ve yenilenebilir enerjiye yönelik çok sayıda çalışmamız var. Veterinerlik, tarım ve turizm konularında yerel projeler var. Balıkesir'e ait atık su probleminin çözümüne, arıtma tesislerine yönelik çalışmalar var ve gıda sektörüne yönelik farklı konularda çalışmalar, projeler devam ediyor."
