BAE'li bakan, "Küresel ekonomideki konumumuzu güvenle, istikrarlı, olgun ve net bir şekilde yeniden şekillendirdiğimiz yeni bir aşamanın başındayız. BAE'nin küresel enerji sistemindeki konumunu yeniden belirleme ve OPEC ile OPEC+'dan çekilme yönündeki kararı kimseye karşı yöneltilmiş değildir; stratejik ve iyi düşünülmüş bir karardır." ifadesini kullandı. Ayrılma kararının ülkenin ulusal çıkarlarına ve uzun vadeli stratejik hedeflerine hizmet ettiğini belirten Cabir, bu adımın "kalkınma, ekonomi ve sanayi alanlarındaki hedeflerle uyumlu olduğunu; yatırımların daha da hızlanması, genişletilmesi ve değer yaratılmasında kendilerini daha da güçlendirdiğini" savundu.
