Grubu Vakfı (MGV) Başkanı Akkan Suver, İstanbul Hazır Giyim ve Konfeksiyon İhracatçıları Birliği (İHKİB) Başkan Yardımcısı Selçuk Mehmet Kaya ve İstanbul Moda Akademisi'nde (İMA) Direktörü Cemal Bayazıt katıldı. Kaya, burada yaptığı konuşmada, Avrasya Ekonomi Zirvesi'nin insanlık için fırsatların ve tehditlerin bütün boyutlarıyla ele alındığı bir platform olmanın yanı sıra iş insanları arasında yeni işbirliklerinin gelişmesine de katkı sunduğunu belirtti. Zirve kapsamında hazır giyimi bir tanıtım unsuru olarak gördüklerini söyleyen Kaya, "Bu organizasyonu aynı zamanda moda endüstrimizin gücünü dünyaya tanıtan bir etkinlik olarak görüyoruz. Hazır giyim, katma değerli üretimi, istihdamı ve ihracatıyla Türkiye ekonomisi için stratejik önem taşıyor. Üretimde marka ülke ve aynı zamanda küresel oyuncuyuz." dedi. Kaya, su ve çevrenin sürdürülebilir bir dünyanın en önemli iki konusu olduğunu belirterek şöyle devam etti: "Özellikle yakın pazar tedarikçisi olarak Türkiye'nin 'lineer' bir yapıdan döngüsel bir yapıya geçildiği bugünkü dünya ticaretinde çok önemli bir yeri var. Biz de İHKİB olarak yaşanan bütün zorluklara rağmen hem globalde yaşanan sorunlar hem lokalde yaşanan sorunların yeni bir bakış açısıyla tekrardan değerlendirebileceğine inanıyoruz. Tehditlerin içinde mutlaka görülmesi gereken fırsatlar var. Bu fırsatları değerlendirebilecek imkanlar hem bizim sektörümüzün altyapısında hem de bizlerin birikiminde var." Gelecek dönemde sürdürülebilir üretim, dijital dönüşüm ve tasarım odaklı katma değerin sektörün rekabet gücünü belirleyen en kritik unsurlar olacağını ifade eden Kaya, Yeşil Mutabakat ve karbon ayak izi gibi kriterlere uyum sağlayarak, sadece üretimde değil sürdürülebilirlikte de öncü ülke kimliğinin güçleneceğini dile getirdi. Marmara Grubu Vakfı Başkanı Suver de savaşların, bölgesel ihtilafların ve istemsiz göç hareketlerinin dünyayı giderek daha kırılgan bir yapıya sürüklediğine dikkati çekerek, "Avrasya Ekonomi Zirvesi ile barış, demokrasi, ekonomik işbirliği ve toplumsal kapsayıcılık ekseninde yeni perspektifler geliştirmeyi hedefliyoruz. 29 yıldır ülkelerinde kritik görevler üstlenmiş siyasetçileri, akademisyenleri, iş insanlarını, inanç önderlerini ve sivil toplum kuruluşlarının temsilcilerini bir araya getiriyoruz." diye konuştu. Su ve yeşil kaynakların hızla tükenmesinin de zirvenin ana temalarından olacağını belirten Suver, zirveye 48 ülkenin katılacağı bilgisini verdi. Suver, zirvede savaşların ve bölgesel çatışmaların yanı sıra kadınların barış ve diplomasi süreçlerindeki rolüne özel vurgu yapacaklarını dile getirerek şunları kaydetti: "Savaşın ve savaşla birlikte insanlığın kabul edemeyeceği dramla baş başayız. Bu dramı da konuşmak zorundayız. Türkiye bir ateş çemberinin içinden geçiyor. Buradan çıkabilmenin yollarını bu zirvede dünyanın sayılı insanları arasında bulunan devlet adamlarının ağzından bir diyalog, ders halinde dinleyip öğreneceğiz, bir ortak akla gideceğiz."
