Australian rock music journalist Glenn A Baker dies

Baker's friend and musician Stuart Coupe confirmed the news on Friday morning. 'This is a post that I was hoping I wouldn’t be making for a considerable period of time,' he wrote on social media.  'But after an illness Glenn A Baker passed away earlier this morning. I'm beyond sad.' Fellow music journalist Paul Cashmere also paid tribute to Baker. 'A sad start to the day as, confirmed by Stuart Coupe, Australian music has lost one of its greatest historians,' he said. Baker was involved in a research project during the 1970s which saw the formation of 2JJ and later became triple j.
