Nathan Stafford, 46, owner of Nathan's Lawns and Gardens, published a TikTok, describing how the 'clown' had done the 'dodgiest thing'. 'I remember seeing him up on the roof,' Mr Stafford said in the video on April 4. 'I said to him before he left: 'Mate, just make sure (you let me know) if you crack a tile... I've noticed they (tradies) have cracked a few tiles in the past and they just do a runner. If you do anything, let me know.' Three days later, a neighbour pointed out to Mr Stafford that there was a hole in his roof. 'Look at that dodgy s***,' he said, gesturing towards the gap. 'This bloke has done that, left, and it's been raining all weekend. We've now got rainwater inside our house. 'I rang this guy up and his response was that he knew nothing about it... Then he hung up on me.' Sydney gardener Nathan Stafford (pictured) has lashed out at a tradie who left a hole in his roof Mr Stafford said the rain had led to water entering his house through the gap Mr Stafford, who has gone viral several times after clearing up messy public spaces, said the tradesman changed his response when he discovered his identity. 'He rang me back a few minutes later when I sent him a message telling him who I was and he said: 'Can we please start again,'' Mr Stafford said. 'I said: 'You dodgy so-and-so' and he turned around and said: 'I'm gonna get a shotgun and blow your head off.'' 'Not happy. Some of these tradesmen are so shonky. That (gap) is disgraceful. And now we've got a huge problem with our roof.' Mr Stafford then told the roofer to fix the issue before it rained again. 'This guy came back, his mother driving him from the pub,' he said. 'He'd been drinking and he wanted to come back up on my roof. Man, I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.' Australians on social media were split over the incident, with some sending messages of support while others pointed out it was a small issue. 'It's just a tile, mate, calm down,' one said. A second added: 'Just put a board or something over it, (it's) not that serious. The way you're going on, you're making it sound like the whole roof is going to collapse.' But a third user wrote: 'That's just terrible, mate. I'm a licensed roofer, I'll come out and fix it for you for free. That's just crazy.' 'That sucks; you're such a good person and do so much for the people. Much respect and so sad seeing this happen to you,' another said. No comments have so far been submitted.
