Aussie blasts pub after forking out $6 for a can of Coke - and she wasn't allowed to finish it

Published: 02:52, 11 June 2026 | Updated: 02:53, 11 June 2026 A young woman has been left bewildered after she wasn't allowed to finish the $6 can of Coke she had bought at the pub.    Madison Andonovski was attending a work function at a Victorian venue when she purchased the soft drink along with a chicken parmigiana and chips. 'I see this girl open up a can of Coke and start pouring it into the glass,' she said.  'She wasn't pouring for very long before the glass filled up because there was so much ice in it.' Ms Andonovski questioned why she wasn't allowed to finish her drink when she had bought the entire can.   'I said, "Can I just have the can then because I've just paid six bucks for a Coke and it's not even a full can? Can I please like drink some of my Coke and can you fill the rest of the Coke can up in the glass?" because what a rip-off,' she said.  'She's like, "No, sorry, we don't like sell cans of Coke, we sell glasses of Coke.'  The customer said she was nice to the staff member, but felt the restaurant rules were 'absurd and ridiculous'.  Madison Andonovski (pictured) has been left bewildered after she wasn't allowed to finish the $6 can of coke she had bought at the pub. 'The Coke can went in the bin and she didn't use it for another customer,' Ms Andonovski said. 'If I'm watching you crack a can open and there's like this much left in the can, why can I not just have it? 'If I worked at a restaurant and somebody asked if they could just have the rest of the can, I'd be like, "Yeah babes, here it is."'  Ms Andonovski shared her bizarre ordeal to TikTok, saying she wasn't sure if it was normal or not. 'I need to know whether I'm having a valid crash out over this... or whether I'm just being dramatic and am a whinger,' she said. 'I don't feel like it's logical, but I just need another opinion because I just think it's so dumb.' Most viewers agreed, saying Ms Andonovski should have been allowed to finish the can.  'No, that’s weird! I’ve worked in many venues and if it’s sold by the can, I’ve always given the customer the can to top their glass up,' one said.  Ms Andonovski shared her bizarre ordeal to Tiktok , saying she wasn't sure if it was normal or not (stock image) 'You're so valid in this! Ice in a glass is a courtesy with the can of Coke you just paid for,' a second said. 'You are getting ripped-off, they absolutely should’ve given the can,' a third said.  Some told her it was not worth getting upset over a can of Coke. 'Crying on a $6 can. Lol,' one wrote.
