Aussie activist who wants trans athletes banned from female sport pulls out of rally after chilling 'bullet' death threat: 'You will suffer'

Sall Grover was due to speak at Sunday's 'Rally for Women's Rights' event but said that she was pulling out over fears for both her own safety and that of other attendees. 'I’m not going to speak at the rally because I am not going to put myself or any woman in harm’s way when literally all we’re asking for is the government to give us back what we had, which is the accurate definition of woman in the sex discrimination act, and women-only spaces, and to stop punishing us for recognising reality,' she said. Grover shared some of those repulsive messages with 2GB host Ben Fordham.  'We're going to put a bullet through your f***ing head,' one read. 'You will suffer immense physical anguish for putting our side in harm's way'. Another message referenced a recent ruling by the NSW Supreme Court ordering Smith to pay $95,000 to two biologically male transgender soccer players it deemed had been unlawfully vilified. 'So happy you lost $100,000 but it’s not f***ing enough we WILL ruin your life as much as humanly possible,' the message read. Trans people are all over the world too, and thanks to the internet, also connected. We know what you look like in other words. The message included a picture of Grover with the caption '1 terf, 1 bullet'. TERF is an acronym standing for 'Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist' and is a derogatory term used for women who push back against trans-inclusive movements. 'We have been inundated with abuse, and it has been escalating - we are living in a post-Charlie Kirk (assassinated US political figure) world, and it makes me super nervous,' Grover said. Grover, who has amassed over 50,000 followers across her social media channels, said that the majority of her supporters were middle-aged women who didn't believe in silencing dissenting voices. 'We don’t send threats and we don’t try to intimidate these guys, because we’re not opposed to counter-protest,' she said. 'Counter-protest is part of living in society. What I am against is incitement, and that in order to hold these rallies to defend our rights, we need police protection from trans activists.' Grover has also launched legal proceedings against a number of trans rights activist groups after a flyer promoting a counter-protest was circulated calling her a 'racist transphobe'.
