Asmongold banned on Twitch over Iran war comments
ALBAWABA - Controversial streamer Asmongold was banned from Twitch for an entire week after reportedly violating the community guidelines of the Amazon-owned platform on April 6.
The just chatting streamer was banned on his second Twitch account, Zackrawrr.' However, previous content on the account remains accessible for users on the platform.
Asmongold took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote:
"Banned for an entire week because I said I don't give a f**k about the opinions of illiterate third worlders. Would someone be banned for saying they don't care about what an American's opinion is on the Middle East? Of course not. Blatant double standard, I didn't break ToS."

In response, several social media users slammed the streamer over his recent political stances on the ongoing US-Israeli war with Iran and his recent post demeaning people from the "third world."
A user responded, "Your apartment is worse than third world so self deprecating humor shouldn’t be punished."
Another wrote, "No double standard at all. You should have been suspended or perma banned by now with the disgusting things you say. You are a disgrace of an American and just part of the brainwashed cultist following the pedo in the Oval Office."
On the contrary, fellow streamer and anime reaction content creator Nicholas Light took to Asmongold's defense, claiming that Twitch has "double standards" for not taking the same actions against another political streamer named HasanAbi.
Nicholas Light wrote, "It’s okay for Hasan to endorse terrorism, to threaten a senator’s life, to constantly degrade and want the death of Jewish people, to abuse his dog live on stream to say you’re the reason your parents died."
He added, "But twitch draws the line when you speak the truth and bans you for a week lol. Such a dumb, libtard ass company. The CEO is a piece of garbage and needs to go broke. Because you’re not a terrorist like Hasan, you deal with larger consequences."
This marks the second time the controversial streamer was banned due to his political commentary. Asmongold was banned back in 2024 over his derogatory and "racist" comments about the people of Palestine, whom he called "inferior."
His comments came one year into the Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023, which resulted in the killing of over 72,000 Palestinians and the injuring of at least 172,000 others, including women and children.
After the backlash, Asmongold took to social media and apologized for his comments on the matter.
