Asda adds 12 new cheeses to its Exceptional range including premium British favourites

Asda is bringing more choice to British shoppers this summer with a dozen new additions to its Exceptional range.

The supermarket giant has now completed its premium cheese collection, which stands at 26 products sourced from eight different European countries.

Customers can now enjoy award-winning options for every dining occasion and cheeseboard creation - including celebrated British options.

The expansion comes hot on the heels of a fantastic showing at the International Cheese & Dairy Awards, where Asda's Exceptional range picked up an impressive 19 awards across Gold, Silver, and Bronze categories.

Among the standout wins were two coveted Gold accolades – Best Retailer of French Ossau-Iraty for the new sheep's milk cheese priced at £4.25 for 180g, and Best Retailer of French Brie for the Triple Crème Brie at £3.12 for 125g.

The retailer also scooped Silver awards for Best Retailer of Red Leicester and Best Retailer of Parmigiano Reggiano PDO, among several other honours.

Asda's product development manager for Cheese, Matt Forde, said: "We knew our customers wanted more variety within the premium cheese category, to bring tasting experiences such as 'cheese trolleys' and 'pairings' home, but for a fraction of the price, so we're delighted to bring twelve new cheese products into our Exceptional range.

"The launch allows shoppers to experiment with different flavours and textures. From soft to hard, smoked to blue and territorial cheeses, we have something for everyone's taste in the range.
