Arsenal have been told by Clarence Seedorf that their defensive strength could deliver them Champions League glory. The former AC Milan and Real Madrid midfielder has tipped the Gunners for success after witnessing Paris Saint-Germain edge past Bayern Munich 5-4 in their semi-final first leg. Speaking on Amazon Prime Video following that nine-goal spectacular, he said: "The clean sheet was always sacred for goalkeepers, and we have seen a team like Arsenal making the difference this year having so many clean sheets and coming all the way. "So if I have to point out one team now that would be capable, actually, to bring it home because of that capacity, it is actually Arsenal." Harry Kane , Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Joao Neves, Michael Olise and Ousmane Dembele all found the net in the opening period. Further strikes from the latter and Kvaratskhelia saw PSG establish a 5-2 advantage, only for Dayot Upamecano and Luis Diaz to claw back the deficit and tee up a gripping second leg at the Allianz Arena next Wednesday. Whoever progresses between PSG and Bayern Munich will likely enter the final as favourites given their undeniable firepower, which was abundantly evident at the Parc des Princes. However, it's also worth acknowledging that some of the defending left much to be desired. FOLLOW OUR ARSENAL FB PAGE! Latest Gunners news and more on our dedicated Facebook page That is clearly the sentiment behind Seedorf's Arsenal admission, and it is supported by Mikel Arteta's side having conceded just once across four knockout stage matches. It is worth noting, however, that they have managed only four goals in that same period. Atletico Madrid stand between Arsenal and a place in the final, with the Spanish club having already seen off Barcelona and Tottenham in earlier rounds. The 4-0 thrashing of Diego Simeone's side in the group stage underlined just how much Atletico have evolved under his stewardship. In years gone by, the Spanish outfit were renowned for their defensive solidity and mastery of the dark arts. There now appears to be a far greater emphasis on attacking play, driven by the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Ademola Lookman and Julian Alvarez, who has been strongly linked to Arsenal. Both Lookman and Alvarez had been doubts for the first leg, but Alvarez returned to the Atletico squad last weekend and subsequently confirmed he was fit to play. On Tuesday morning, Lookman was spotted back in training after an absence of several weeks. Arteta has also received a double fitness boost, with Eberechi Eze and Riccardo Calafiori both expected to feature. Eze was substituted off against Newcastle United on Saturday, while the Italy international has been sidelined since the first leg victory over Sporting CP. Jurrien Timber and Kai Havertz will both be absent, however, as confirmed by Arteta. Havertz appears to be nursing a minor knock, while Timber has been out of action since mid-March. When quizzed about the latter's recovery, Arteta said: "We don't know yet [if he will play again this season]. He's doing some stuff on the pitch at the moment. But we need to get the gears up and be able to do more things before he can come back to us."
