Gordon missing the fixture could dent his apparent transfer hopes with the Daily Mail reporting a scan revealed a problem in his hip, meaning he is expected to miss a potential audition at the Emirates.‌Gordon is expected to return this season but comments from Eddie Howe last Friday cast doubt over the England international's future when he was left out of the squad after the Newcastle boss stated he would not pick any players that he did not feel were "100 per cent committed".
