AC Milan are interested in signing Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus this summer, having previously seen a deal for the Brazilian fall by the wayside. Jesus, 29, is among those who could potentially leave the Emirates over the next few months as Mikel Arteta attempts to rebuild his side. And should he do that, Italian giants Milan are among those considering a swoop. According to reports in Italy, the Serie A side have never completely ended their interest, having also targeted him last summer, as well as in January. Milan are desperate to add to their attacking ranks ahead of next season, with both Santiago Gimenez and Niclas Fullkrug currently unfancied by boss Max Allegri, while Rafael Leao is not a conventional centre-forward. He has also been linked with a move away from the San Siro. Allegri reportedly held a three-hour meeting with Milan chiefs this week to determine the club’s strategy in the market, with a new striker right at the top of their list. FOLLOW OUR ARSENAL FB PAGE! Latest Gunners news and more on our dedicated Facebook page Jesus could potentially be available for a reduced fee, with the Brazilian having just a year remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium. However, he has previously talked up a return to former club Palmeiras. Speaking to Globo Esporte earlier this season, he said: “My relationship with Palmeiras has always been very good and always will be – I have immense gratitude. “My desire is to one day return to Palmeiras and win even more titles, because I’ve already experienced the taste of winning titles at Palmeiras. “And it’s something that’s still within me, it’s a very strong desire. I have a contract with Arsenal . Obviously, my situation at Arsenal has changed from what it was before. “But my main focus today remains Arsenal, making things happen here, helping in whatever way the manager needs, and then, obviously, when the season is over, we’ll start thinking about it.” Arsenal signed Jesus from Premier League rivals Manchester City in the summer of 2022 for a fee of £45m. He has scored 31 goals in 121 appearances for the North London side since then. His spell with Arsenal has been blighted by injuries, having suffered a number of issues during his time at the club. Jesus has also fallen down the pecking order over recent years, with both Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyokeres having been signed to bolster Mikel Arteta’s attack.
