Arrest warrant issued against Siilawy for insulting Islam

ALBAWABA - Jordanian authorities issued an arrest warrant against singer Hussam Siilawy after his controversial video in which he made anti-Islamic statements.

The artistic community in Jordan is witnessing a state of shock and widespread controversy, after a series of crises in the life of the young artist Hussam Siilawy, that pushed his father to officially disown him due to religious statements that angered his fans, coinciding with the announcement of his sudden separation from his wife Sandra, after a marriage that did not last long.

In seperate statements, Siilawy's father revealed that he had made a decisive decision to completely cut ties with his son, confirming that he had blocked him on all social media platforms some time ago.

In parallel with this family storm, the Jordanian singer topped the "trend" from another angle related to his personal life, as he officially confirmed his separation from his wife Sandra, a move that surprised followers given the short duration of their relationship, which began in February 2025.

Arrest warrant issued against Siilawy for insulting Islam

A Jordanian security source told Roya that an arrest warrant was issued against singer Siilawy, who is currently outside Amman, but he will be detained once he arrives back.

Legal directions have been made against the young artist, Roya reported Tuesday.

Earlier, Jordanian singer Siilawy sparked speculations on social media after posting an image of Jesus Christ on his Instagram story.

Siilawy, known for his famous songs, posted an image of the Last Supper of Jesus with the Twelve Apostles on his official Instagram account, where he is followed by over 3 million people.

However, the truth remains unclear in the absence of any official statement from the artist himself.
