Staff told officers the gun was being passed between a group of young men who took turns placing the weapon in their waistbands.The gun was clearly visible to the public, who had also reported it to security, the CCTV operator said.Unarmed officers and Derbion security detained the teenage boys just before armed police arrived at the shopping centre.The weapon was found to be an imitation firearm and not real, and three people were arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm, reports Derbyshire Live.Article continues belowThis is a breaking news story.
