The former Queensland premier has not been seen at the luxury waterfront home on the Gold Coast she once shared with Dr Reza Adib since his arrest. But this week Adib grimaced as he was spotted at his lavish second home, a $7million faux Italian villa in Brisbane.  Adib was seen wearing figure-hugging sports gear at the home just hours after he his registtaion was suspended, ending his lucrative weight-loss surgery practice. The 65-year-old is living at the palace-like mansion on strict bail conditions while facing six charges related to the alleged sex attack on a woman aged in her 30s.  The property overlooks the Brisbane River and features a swimming pool surrounded by a reproduction Temple of Apollo.  Adib was wearing a vivid blue and black full-length neoprene-style swimming suit and winced as if in pain when he was seen at the home for the first time since his lucrative career was put on hold. The Queensland Health Ombudsman suspended Dr Adib's registration on June 2, weeks after police charged him. Police allege that on March 30 Adib assaulted a Gold Coast woman at his Burleigh Heads beachfront apartment where he and Ms Palaszczuk have lived during their five-year relationship. Ms Palaszczuk told the Daily Mail two days before Queensland detectives raided the Burleigh Heads property and arrested Adib that she was 'very blessed' to have him in her life. She has since suspended her national book tour to promote her memoir, 'Annastacia Palaszczuk: The Politics of Being Me - a powerful story of resilience, leadership and staying true to yourself'.  In 2021, soon after going public about their romance, Ms Palaszczuk said Adib simply 'makes me happy'. Adib was a laparoscopic, gastrointestinal and obesity surgeon at The Wesley Hospital in Brisbane, where he ceased practising following his arrest. The couple were regularly seen socialising on the Gold Coast while staying at Dr Adib's Burleigh Heads apartment. They were seen out dining with other wealthy friends at the Burleigh Heads restaurant precinct on the water at restaurants like Rick Shores and The Tropic. Ms Palaszczuk also stayed at Adib's palatial Indooroopilly home which features marble floors, towering arches and terraced gardens. The five-bedroom home has five bathrooms including one with a marble-bottomed tub, gold leaf framed mirrors and an artist's easel. Adib's lawyer, Dan Rogers, has said his client intends to 'vigorously defend the charges'.  Court documents confirm Adib has surrendered his passport under his bail conditions. Ms Palaszczuk, who is very close to her three sisters and parents Henry and Lorelle, has withdrawn from public life since her partner's arrest.  The Daily Mail reported last month that she was 're-evaluating' her relationship with Adib. His case returns to Southport Magistrates Court on July 7.
