The Sky will acquire a 2027 first-round pick and a 2028 first-round pick in exchange for Reese, and the sides will also swap second rounders in 2028.“Angel has achieved many record-breaking milestones in her first two years in the WNBA and has been a competitive force for the Sky,” Chicago general manager Jeff Pagliocca said in a statement. “We are thankful for her many important contributions to this league and this game, and we know she will continue to have a big impact on the court and beyond. We wish Angel all the best in her next chapter.”The Sky drafted Reese with the seventh overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. She was named to the All-Rookie team in her first season, and in addition to being an All-Star, has also led the league in rebounding in each of her first two years in the league.After beginning her collegiate career at Maryland, Reese became one of the stars of the women’s game after leading LSU to a national championship in 2023, when the Tigers defeated a Caitlin Clark-led Iowa team in the title game.
