النائبة الجمهورية نانسي ميس: مبررات حرب إيران أمام الكونجرس تختلف عمّا قُدّم للأمريكيين

قالت النائبة الجمهورية الأمريكية، نانسي ميس، إن الإحاطة التي تلقاها أعضاء لجنة القوات المسلحة في الكونجرس بشأن مبررات الحرب كشفت معلومات تختلف عمّا قُدِّم للرأي العام الأمريكي، معتبرة أن هذا التباين يثير القلق.

وأضافت أن استمرار الحرب لفترة أطول قد يؤدي إلى تآكل الدعم لها داخل الكونغرس وبين المواطنين الأمريكيين، مشيرة إلى أن طول أمد النزاع يسرّع فقدان التأييد السياسي والشعبي.
