İran'a yönelik saldırılarla ilgili soruya karşılık Wadephul, "Özellikle Türkiye ve Mısır, özel bir arabulucu konumundadır. Bunun için çok minnettarız ve bu konuda diplomatik katkılarımızı sunmaya çalışıyoruz." yanıtını verdi. Wadephul, müzakerelerin devam etmesi için baskı yaptıklarını dile getirerek, "Ateşkesin devam etmesini de talep ettik, öyle de oluyor. Bu çatışma, askeri yolla çözülemez, müzakereler yoluyla çözülmelidir." dedi. Alman Bakan, ABD/İsrail-İran Savaşı'nda yakın zamanda bir anlaşmaya varılmasının mümkün olduğunu savunarak, şöyle devam etti: "ABD Başkanı'nın, müzakerelerin sonucunun İran'ın gelecekte nükleer silahlanma tehlikesi oluşturmaması olması gerektiği yönündeki talebi, doğru bir taleptir. Bu, E3 olarak tüm müzakerelerimizin temelini oluşturan ve İran ile müzakere yoluyla elde etmeye çalıştığımız bir talep olmuştur. Bu nedenle bu sonucu müzakere yoluyla elde etmek için zaman ve enerji harcamaya değer. Umarım bu başarılı olur. Her halükarda ABD, bu konuda tam desteğimize güvenebilir." Hürmüz Boğazı ile ilgili Fransa'da yapılacak konferansa işaret eden Wadephul, Başbakan Friedrich Merz'in oraya Avrupa'nın katkıda bulunmaya hazır olduğunu ve Hürmüz Boğazı'nın gelecekte de açık olmasının sağlanmasını desteklemek için gideceğini aktardı. Wadephul, Hürmüz Boğazı gibi yerlerin tek tek devletler tarafından kontrol edilmesinin ve orada gümrük vergilerinin alınmasının kesinlikle kabul edilemez olduğunu vurgulayarak, "Hürmüz Boğazı'nın tamamen serbest geçişinin yeniden sağlanması için ısrar edeceğiz. Bu, sadece Körfez ülkelerinin menfaatine değil, sadece Asya'daki komşu ülkelerin menfaatine değil, tüm dünya toplumunun menfaatine de uygundur. Çünkü deniz ticareti, dünya ekonomisinin işleyişi için hayati öneme sahiptir." ifadelerini kullandı.
