قال عبد الله فال، رئيس الاتحاد السنغالي لكرة القدم، يوم الخميس، إن السنغال كانت ضحية قرار إداري وغير عادل عندما تم تجريد منتخب بلاده من لقب كأس الأمم الأفريقية.

وقال فال في مؤتمر صحافي بباريس، إن السنغال ستقاتل للدفاع عن "شرفها" في المحكمة الدولية للتحكيم الرياضي بسويسرا.
 
وقال المحامي سيدو دياني إن السنغال تعرضت لـ "خيانة"، وأنه قام بحشد محامين دوليين من سويسرا وإسبانيا وفرنسا والسنغال للدفاع عن القضية.

ويقوم الاتحاد السنغالي لكرة القدم بالطعن في الحكم المفاجئ الصادر الأسبوع الماضي عن الاتحاد الأفريقي لكرة القدم الذي جرد السنغال من اللقب الذي فازوا به في النهائي الفوضوي في يناير ومنحه للدولة المستضيفة المغرب.

وذكر الفريق القانوني للسنغال إن البلاد مازالت تعتبر نفسها بطلة أفريقيا رغم حكم الاتحاد الأفريقي (كاف).

وقال دياني: إذا جعلت المحكمة الدولية للتحكيم الرياضي هذا الأمر يحدث، فإن بطل بطولة كأس العالم المقبلة يمكن أن يتم تحديده داخل مكتب محاماة.

والمنتخب السنغالي في فرنسا هذا الأسبوع لخوض مباراة ودية أمام بيرو في ملعب "ستاد دو فرانس" كجزء من الاستعداد للمشاركة في بطولة كأس العالم.

وتم تسجيل استئناف السنغال لإعادتها كبطلة لكأس الأمم الأفريقية، الأربعاء، لدى المحكمة الدولية للتحكيم الرياضي، التي لم تحدد جدولاً زمنياً للعملية الطويلة المحتملة قبل صدور الحكم.
