خلف ستائر النقاش الحاد في واشنطن بين الإسرائيليين والأمريكيين على مستوى الأمن القومي جراء الحرب وتفصيلاتها ضد إيران بدأ  يتبلور موقف من مستشار الأمن القومي الإسرائيلي المقيم الأن في واشنطن يرى فيه الإسرائيليون بان صمود إيران وخروجها من المعركة الحالية بمكاسب سياسية جراء الصمود وعدم إنهيار النظام الإيراني مؤشر في غاية الخطورة على النفوذ الإسرائيلي والأمريكي مستقبلا في المنطقة.

يحاجج الإسرائيليون خلف الكواليس بأن إيران إذا خرجت من هذه المعركة صامدة بمعنى بقي النظام كما هو وحققت بعض المكاسب المالية والسياسية والنفطية فستتحول من حيث التسليح والمخاطر الى كوريا الشمالية رقم 2 في المنطقة.
