تشهد مدينة العقبة هطول أمطار غزيرة في معظم مناطق المدينة مع رياح نشطة.

وأكدت سلطة منطقة العقبة الاقتصادية الخاصة ومحافظة العقبة رفع حالة الاستعداد التام للطوارئ، مع مراقبة مستمرة لجميع الموانئ والشوارع، واتخاذ التدابير اللازمة للحفاظ على سلامة المواطنين والممتلكات، وضمان استمرارية الخدمات الحيوية.
ودعت المواطنين والزوار إلى الالتزام بإرشادات السلامة، وتجنب التنقل في المناطق المنخفضة والمعرضة لتجمع المياه، ومراقبة تطورات الحالة الجوية عبر وسائل الإعلام الرسمية، مشيرة إلى أن فرق الطوارئ والكوادر الوطنية تعمل على مدار الساعة لمتابعة الوضع والتعامل مع أي طارئ بشكل فوري.
وكانت إدارة الأرصاد دعت على موقعها الرسمي، المواطنين وزوار المدينة، خاصة مستخدمي القوارب، إلى ضرورة أخذ أقصى درجات الحيطة والحذر، وتجنب المخاطرة بالسباحة أو الإبحار في ظل هذه الظروف الجوية حفاظاً على السلامة العامة.
