Air and land searches for missing man centre on Welsh seaside village

A major search is taking place for a missing man thought to have travelled to Wales. Lee Butler, aged 36, was reported missing from Staffordshire five days ago, and it is believed he travelled to the Vale of Glamorgan in south Wales. South Wales Police has released a description of Lee, together with a picture, in the hope that someone can share information about his whereabouts. A spokesperson for the force said: "Lee, aged 36, has been reported as missing from Staffordshire on Tuesday (May 26), however it is believed he is now in the Ogmore-by-Sea area. "He is around 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build , and has a full sleeve tattoo on his arm. "Anyone who may have seen Lee, or who has information which will help us find him, is asked to contact us quoting occurrence number 2600166222." People living in the area reported that a helicopter and drones had been used to assist with the search, with others saying they had seen RNLI lifeboats searching the coast. If anyone has any relevant information they are asked to contact South Wales Police online or by calling 101.
