The club confirmed that medical response teams were in attendance, including an air ambulance, just over three hours before kick-off.‌The Royals put a post on social media platform X to update supporters of the ongoing incident at their Select Car Leasing Stadium in Berkshire. As a result, an air ambulance was among those responding to the incident and just under an hour later, it was confirmed that they had departed and services around the stadium had reopened.‌In a post, the club said: "We are currently assisting with a medical incident at the stadium, with the air ambulance in attendance. There is no impact on today’s fixture. Further updates will be provided in due course."‌The club added: "The air ambulance has now departed the stadium and all car parks have reopened. Traffic has built up in the surrounding area and will be busier than usual.
