The club confirmed that medical response teams were in attendance, including an air ambulance, just over three hours before kick-off.‌The Royals put a post on social media platform X to update supporters of the ongoing incident at their Select Car Leasing Stadium in Berkshire. As a result, an air ambulance was among those responding to the incident and just under an hour later, it was confirmed that they had departed and services around the stadium had reopened.‌In a post, the club said: "We are currently assisting with a medical incident at the stadium, with the air ambulance in attendance. There is no impact on today’s fixture. Further updates will be provided in due course."‌The club added: "The air ambulance has now departed the stadium and all car parks have reopened. Traffic has built up in the surrounding area and will be busier than usual. Thank you for your patience."The nature of the incident was unknown but supporters from both clubs rushed to offer their support and best wishes on social media.It was a crucial Easter Monday showdown for Imps supporters as they needed just one point to earn promotion to the Championship.
