Sila Studios has announced the official start of pre-production for the new crime drama series "The Prince," which stars Ahmed Ezz. This series is one of the largest drama productions in the Arab region, funded by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and produced in conjunction with the MBC Group. It will be released exclusively on the Shahid platform later in 2027, with Arabic and English subtitles.

The Prince is the creation of Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority. A multinational team, directed by famous director Stephen Hopkins and authored by Salah El-Gohainy, is in charge of the production. The project features a stellar cast of Arab and foreign actors, including Ahmed Ezz, Amina Khalil, and Sami El-Sheikh, as well as international performers Tuba Büyüküstün, Meryem Uzerli, Pedro Alonso, and Paul Anderson.

In the series, Ahmed Ezz plays an Egyptian officer who lives a secret life among a complicated web of international clandestine battles. He uses the alias of one of the world's most wanted terrorists. Filming is set to begin in April at a number of locations, including Al Hosn Big Time Studios in Riyadh, one of the region's most advanced production facilities, fully equipped to international standards, and various places in Cairo.

In other matters, Ahmed Ezz is excited about the debut of his new film, "Dogs 7," in Saudi and Egyptian cinemas on May 26th, which coincides with the first night of Eid al-Adha 2026. The film represents the first time a film has been shot entirely at Big Time Studios in Riyadh. Its budget surpassed $40 million, a notable milestone that reflects the wonderful growth in the scale and resources of Arab film production.
The film, starring Karim Abdel Aziz and Ahmed Ezz, is based on a tale written by Turki Abdulmohsen Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), in conjunction with Big Time Creative. Mohamed Al-Dabbah wrote the screenplay and language, while Bilal Al-Arabi and Adel Fallah directed the picture, having previously co-directed the latest episode of the popular action franchise, "Bad Boys: Ride or Die."

The film "Dogs 7" follows Interpol officer Khaled Al-Azzazi, who successfully apprehends Ghali Abu Daoud, one of the most dangerous members of the hidden international organization known as "Dogs 7." A year after Ghali's arrest, the organization restarts its illegal activities, smuggling and distributing an extremely hazardous substance known as "Pink Lady," aimed at the Middle East.
Faced with a mounting threat, Khaled is obliged to collaborate with Ghali, despite his criminal history, on a covert mission that spans various locations around the world. Their goal is to find the other members of the network and stop the drug's spread. Despite their constant struggle and tension, their complex cooperation, based on rivalry and cunning, develops into an extraordinary combination when confronted with one of the most dangerous worldwide criminal organizations.
The film features a notable international cast, including Giancarlo Esposito, star of "Breaking Bad" and "The Mandalorian," Italian actress Monica Bellucci, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, one of the leading men in the "Tiger" series, Indian actor Sanjay Dutt, star of "Vaastav," and martial arts expert Max Huang, star of "Mortal Kombat."
Tara Emad and Sandy Bella also appear as Interpol officers, and Saudi actor Nasser Al-Qasabi plays General Nasser in a dramatic encounter with Sayed Ragab, who plays General Sabri, lending the film a particular Arab feel.
