دعت هيئة تنظيم قطاع الاتصالات مستخدمي الهواتف الخلوية في المناطق الحدودية إلى اتخاذ إجراءات احترازية لتفادي التحول التلقائي لشبكات الاتصالات إلى شبكات دول مجاورة، وما يترتب على ذلك من احتساب رسوم التجوال الدولي.

وأوضحت الهيئة، في منشور على صفحاتها عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، ضرورة تعطيل خدمة التجوال الدولي من إعدادات الهواتف، أو ضبط إعدادات الشبكة يدويا واختيار الشبكة المحلية المقدمة للخدمة.

يأتي هذه التحذير من الهيئة، لتجنب تكبد كلف إضافية عند إجراء أو استقبال المكالمات أو الرسائل أو استخدام الإنترنت.
