قررت غرفة الطوارئ في بلدية معان الكبرى، إغلاق جسر الشامية المحاذي لجمعية بئر الشامية التعاونية بشكل مؤقت بسبب ارتفاع منسوب المياه وفيضان السيل من فوق الجسر إثر المنخفض الجوي الذي تمر به البلاد.

ويربط الجسر المغلق بين طريق السطح وحي الشامية، حيث تم وضع الحواجز التحذيرية لضمان عدم عبور المركبات والمشاة حفاظاً على الأرواح.

وأكد رئيس لجنة بلدية معان الكبرى بالإنابة السيد راكان الرواد أن البلدية شكلت ورشة فنية للتعامل مع تداعايات الحالة الجوية والمكونة من ١٦ ورشة ميدانية، وأن فرق الطوارئ متواجدة في مختلف مواقع المدينة، وعلى مدار ٢٤ ساعة تقوم هذه الورش بمتابعة ملاحظات المواطنين وتفقد البؤر الساخنة ومناطق تجمع مياه الامطار بشكل مستمر، بالاضافة للاستجابة السريعة لملاحظات المواطنين، وسيتم إعادة فتح الجسر فور انحسار المنخفض والتأكد من سلامته تماماً.

وتهيب البلدية بالمواطنين ضرورة الابتعاد عن مجاري السيول والأودية، وعدم محاولة عبور الجسر مشياً أو بالمركبات تحت أي ظرف، والالتزام بالحواجز التي وضعتها كوادر البلدية.

وتدعو البلدية الإخوة المواطنين القادمين من طريق السطح باتجاه حي الشامية والعكس استخدام طريق الشارع الرئيسي كمسار بديل لحين إعادة افتتاح الجسر.
