أعلن النائب سيمون أبي رميا "إنشاء المركز الزراعي في العاقورة، الذي تغطي خدماته بلدات جبيلية عدة"، وكتب على "إكس": "بعد جهد ومتابعة حثيثة مع وزير الزراعة والمدير العام للوزارة، تمكنا من الوصول إلى إنشاء المركز الزراعي في العاقورة ليشمل بلدات اللقلوق، العاقورة، المجدل، أفقا، لاسا، المزاريب عرستا، المغيري وقرطبا وغيرها من القرى... مبروك لأهلنا في جرود جبيل الجنوبية، فهذا حق لهم وإنجاز مستحق، وخطوة أساسية لدعم المزارعين وتعزيز صمودهم في هذه المنطقة".

أضاف: "سنكون دائما إلى جانب المزارعين في سبيل تنمية هذا القطاع الحيوي".
