Yetkili, henüz resmi davetlerin gönderilmediğini ancak Rusya'nın da G20 üyesi olduğunu ve hem bakanlar düzeyindeki toplantılara hem de liderler zirvesine davet edileceğini belirtti. ABD Başkanı Donald Trump ise dün Beyaz Saray'da gazetecilere yaptığı açıklamada, Putin'e yönelik G20 davetinden haberdar olmadığını ancak buna karşı çıkmayacağını ifade etmişti. Putin'in zirveye katılmasının faydalı olacağını vurgulayan Trump, "Herkesle konuşması gerektiğini düşünüyorum." demişti.
