Qraiqea / AANew YorkAxios'un ismini vermeyen bir ABD'li yetkiliye dayandırılan haberinde, ABD öncülüğünde oluşturulan Gazze Barış Kurulu'nun, Hamas'ı dışlayarak Trump'ın bölgeyle ilgili planını harekete geçirmeyi hedeflediği ileri sürüldü. Haberde, "Gazze'de B planına geçme kararı, Hamas'ı ağır silahlarından vazgeçmeye ikna etme çabalarının çıkmaza girmesinin ardından alındı. Şimdi ABD ve Barış Kurulu, Hamas olmadan ilerlemek istiyor." ifadesine yer verildi. Trump'ın 20 maddelik barış planının uygulanmasının, Hamas'ın silahsızlandırılmasına bağlı olduğu belirtilen haberde, bu grupla aylarca süren görüşmelerde "çok az ilerleme kaydedildiği" savunuldu. Haberde, Trump'ın planında yer alan bir maddenin (17. madde), "Hamas'ın anlaşmanın şartlarını reddetmesi veya geciktirmesi durumunda", grup üyelerinin kontrolü dışında kalan bölgelerde planın ilerlemesine izin verecek bir madde içerdiği iddia edildi. Söz konusu maddeye göre, Hamas, teklifi geciktirir veya reddederse, planın önceki aşamaları yine de uygulanacak. Buna, planın "terörden arındırılmış bölgeler" olarak tanımladığı ve İsrail askeri kontrolünden uluslararası bir istikrar gücüne devredilen alanlarda insani yardımın genişletilmesi de dahil. 20 maddelik plana göre, Gazze'nin yönetimi, Filistinli teknokrat bir komiteye devredilecekti. Ancak İsrail, komite üyelerinin Gazze'ye giriş izinlerini henüz onaylamadı.
