Paraguay ve Trinidad ve Tobago hükümetlerinin Amerika kıtasının güvenliğini sağlama misyonu kapsamında bölgenin özgürlüğünün "müzakere edilemez" olduğunu yeniden teyit ettiği belirtildi. Çin'in "hedefli ekonomik baskılarının" ve Panama bayraklı gemileri etkileyen son adımlarının yakından takip edildiği vurgulanan açıklamada, söz konusu eylemlerin deniz ticaretini siyasallaştırmaya ve bölge ülkelerinin egemenliğini ihlal etmeye yönelik açık bir girişim olduğu savunuldu. Açıklamada, Panama'nın bölgenin deniz ticaret sisteminin temel unsurlarından biri olduğuna işaret edilerek, bu nedenle ülkenin dış baskılardan uzak kalması gerektiği kaydedildi.
