Harekatı'nın planlı ve koşullara bağlı geçiş sürecinin bir parçası olarak Suriye'deki tüm önemli üslerimizin devrini tamamladı." ifadesini kullandı. "DEAŞ'ın yenilgisini sürdürmenin bölge genelinde güvenliği artırmak için hayati önem taşıdığını" belirten Hawkins, ABD güçlerinin yerel ortaklar tarafından yürütülen terörle mücadele operasyonlarını desteklemeye devam ettiğini kaydetti. Doğal Kararlılık Harekatı kapsamında görev yapan ve yaklaşık 2 bin askerden oluşan ABD birlikleri, şubat ayından itibaren bölgeden çekilmeye başlamıştı. Asker ve teçhizatın son konvoyu 16 Nisan'da Kasrak Hava Üssü'nden ayrılmıştı. Yılın başlarında 5 bin 700'den fazla DEAŞ'lı, Suriye'deki gözaltı tesislerinden Irak'a transfer edilmişti.
