Körfez ve Asya'daki müttefikler dahil olmak üzere ülkelerle dolar swap hatlarına ilişkin yürütülen görüşmelerin, ABD Hazine Bakanlığının ortaklarıyla uzun süredir devam eden rutin diyaloglarının bir parçası olduğunu belirten Bessent, bu görüşmeleri "ABD dolarının küresel üstünlüğünün ve Amerika'nın ekonomik kalkanının gücünün birer kanıtı" olarak nitelendirdi. Bessent, "İlave swap hatları, uluslararası alanda dolar kullanımını ve likiditeyi güçlendirerek, dolar fonlama piyasalarının sorunsuz işleyişini sürdürerek, ABD ile ticaret ve yatırımı teşvik ederek ve olası stres senaryolarında ABD varlıklarının düzensiz satışını ve ABD piyasaları, işletmeleri ile hane halklarında yaşanabilecek aksaklıkları önleyerek ülkemize fayda sağlayabilir." ifadelerini kullandı.
