Amerikan Fox News kanalına konuşan Rubio, İslamabad'da yapılamayan ikinci tur müzakerelerin ardından gelinen son durumu değerlendirdi. Rubio, İran'ın, ABD ile bir anlaşma yapmaktan başka şansı olmadığını savunarak, Tahran'daki liderlerin çoğunun "aşırılıkçı" isimler olduğunu ancak bu kişilerin ülkenin içinde bulunduğu durumdan çıkmak için adım atmak zorunda olduklarını gördüğünü dile getirdi.
