Çok taraflılığa ve uluslararası hukuka yönelik küresel bağlılığın yenilenmesi çağrısı yapan Kallas, "deniz yollarının giderek daha fazla tartışmalı hale geldiğini ve tehditlerin gemi hatlarına yönelik saldırılardan denizaltı altyapısının sabotajına kadar uzandığını" söyledi. Kallas, "Bugün Hürmüz Boğazı'nda yaşananlar, deniz güvenliği konusunda güçlü bir uluslararası koalisyona yönelik en açık çağrıdır.
