ABD, Çin ve Rusya yönetimlerinin "AB'yi sevmediği" yorumunu yapan Kallas, "Bu güçlerin Avrupa Birliği'ni dağıtmak istemesinin nedeni, bir arada olduğumuzda çok daha güçlü olmamızdır." ifadelerini kullandı. Avrupa'nın bir arada durması gerektiğini dile getiren Kallas, şunları kaydetti: "Sizden çok daha küçük ülkelerle başa çıkmak, eşit güçlerle başa çıkmaktan daha kolaydır, bu yüzden bence asıl mesele bu. Her ülkeye 'Sizinle ilişkilerimiz harika ama AB'yi sevmiyorum.' demek kolaydır. Asıl soru, Avrupa'nın buna nasıl tepki verdiği. Çok endişeliyim çünkü bazen bazı (üye) ülkelerin de bu yola saptığını görüyorum. 'İkili ilişkilerimiz iyi, AB ile konuşmak istemiyorsanız bizimle konuşun.' diyorlar. Ama bu aslında ayrıştırmanın işe yaradığı anlamına geliyor." İran'daki enerji santralleri ve sivil altyapıya yönelik saldırıların, Hürmüz Boğazı'nın açılması sorununu çözmediğine işaret eden Kallas, "Çünkü orası İran'ın dünyanın geri kalanı üzerindeki kontrolünü sürdürmek için kullandığı baskı noktasıdır." diye konuştu. Kallas, diplomatik çözümü desteklediklerini ancak Avrupa'nın müzakere masasındaki taraflar üzerinde "büyük etki gücü" olmadığını söyledi.
