Mayıs 2026İstanbulErmenistan'ın başkenti Erivan'da düzenlenen ilk AB-Ermenistan Zirvesi'nin ardından taraflar ortak bildiri yayımladı. Bildiride, liderlerin Orta Doğu'daki son durumun dünyaya etkilerini ele aldığı aktarılarak gerginliğin azaltılması, sivil altyapının korunması ve tüm tarafların uluslararası hukuka uyması çağrısı yapılarak, Orta Doğu'da barış ve istikrarın yalnızca diyalog ve diplomasi yoluyla sağlanabileceği vurgulandı. Bugün yapılan zirvenin AB-Ermenistan ilişkilerinin derinleştirilmesinde "tarihi dönüm" noktası olduğu belirtilen bildiride, "İkili ilişkilerimizin derinleşmesi, Güney Kafkasya ve ötesinde barış, istikrar ve refaha yapılan yatırımdır." ifadeleri kullanıldı. Ortak bildiride, Türkiye-Ermenistan ve Azerbaycan-Ermenistan arasında ilişkilerin normalleşmesine yönelik çabaların takdirle karşılandığı ifade edilerek, AB'nin bölgedeki "tüm iletişim kanallarının kapsayıcı şekilde" yeniden açılmasına tam destek verdiği kaydedildi. Tarafların Rusya-Ukrayna Savaşı hakkında endişelerini dile getirdiği aktarılan bildiride, uluslararası hukuk ilkelerine dayalı kapsamlı, adil ve kalıcı barış sağlanmasına yönelik tüm çabaların desteklendiğine işaret edildi. Bildiride, Ermenistan'ın Avrupa Polis Teşkilatı (Europol) ve sınır koruma ajansı Frontex gibi AB kuruluşlarıyla ilişkilerinin güçlenmesine destek verildiği kaydedilerek AB ile Erivan'ın göç yönetimi ve düzensiz göçle mücadele gibi konularda işbirliğini geliştirmede kararlı olduğu vurgulandı.
