2026 NHL Selke Trophy finalists: Will it be Suzuki, or a different first-time winner?

Anthony Cirelli of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Brock Nelson of the Colorado Avalanche and Nick Suzuki of the Montreal Canadiens are the finalists for the Frank J. Selke Trophy, awarded to the forward who best excels in the defensive aspects of the game, the NHL revealed on Friday.The award is voted upon by members of the Pro Hockey Writers’ Association, and the winner will be announced next month. In 2024-25, Florida Panthers center Aleksander Barkov won for the second straight season and the third time overall. He tore his ACL and MCL in training camp, though, opening the door for a first-timer to take home the trophy this year.Advertisement
