20 قتيلا على الأقل في انزلاقات تربة في تنزانيا

دار السلام- (أ ف ب) – أودت انزلاقات تربة ناجمة عن أمطار غزيرة في جنوب تنزانيا بـ 20 شخصا على الأقل، حسبما أعلنت السلطات الخميس مرجحة ارتفاع عدد الضحايا.

وتشهد منطقة شرق إفريقيا منذ أسابيع أمطارا غزيرة أسفرت عن مقتل 81 شخصا على الأقل وتشريد الآلاف في كينيا المجاورة هذا الشهر.

وفي تنزانيا تسببت أمطار ترافقها رياح قوية بانزلاقات تربة دمرت منازل فجر الأربعاء في منطقة مبيا، وفقا لما ذكر جعفر هانيو مسؤول مقاطعة رونغوي حيث وقعت الكارثة.

وقال للصحافيين “بلغ عدد القتلى 20 شخصا” موضحا أنه تم العثور على 18 جثة الأربعاء وجثتين أخريين الخميس.
