Finalistlerin yer aldığı liste "trtbelgesel.com" adresinde yayımlandı. İnsanlığın derin acılarını ve yeryüzünün çarpıcı hikayelerini anlatan her belgeselin geleceğe bırakılmış kalıcı bir iz olduğuna inanarak "Cesur Ol, İz Bırak" temasıyla gerçekleştirilen etkinlik, dünyanın farklı coğrafyalarından ve farklı kültürlerinden insana, doğaya, hayata ve tarihe dair hikayeleri izleyicilerle buluşturacak. Toplam 109 ülkeden 1409 projenin başvurduğu yarışmada, finale kalan 40 yapım ödül için yarışacak. Yarışma kapsamında 4 kategoride toplam 12 ödül verilecek. Ön elemenin ardından finale kalan filmler, 4-7 Haziran'da seçici kurul tarafından değerlendirilecek. Kazananlar ise 7 Haziran'da düzenlenecek ödül töreninde açıklanacak.
