Bunun üzerine Tatvan sahiline sevk edilen 112 Acil Sağlık, polis ve AFAD ekiplerince yürütülen çalışmalar sonucu hipotermi şüphesi bulunan E.D. kurtarıldı. Sudan çıkarılarak ilk müdahalesi yapılan E.D, ambulansla Tatvan Devlet Hastanesi'ne kaldırıldı. Van Gölü'nde E.D'yi gören vatandaşlardan Dilruba Ercan, Van Gölü sahilinde yürüyüş yaptığı sırada suda bekleyen bir kişiyi fark ettiğini söyledi. Ercan, polis ve AFAD ekiplerince kurtarılan E.D'nin ambulansla hastaneye götürüldüğünü kaydetti.
