Müdürlüğü ekipleri, sanal mecraları 7 gün 24 saat esasına göre takip ediyor. Ekipler, özellikle bilişim, dolandırıcılık, yasa dışı içerikler ve sosyal medya suçları gibi birçok konuyla ilgili çalışma yürütüyor. Sanal devriyelerle gerçekleşebilecek suçları engelleyip şüphelileri yakalamaya çalışan ekipler, belirli aralıklarla kentte bilgilendirme faaliyetleri yapıyor. Okul, üniversite, iş yerleri ve kurumları ziyaret eden ekipler, vatandaşları dolandırıcılık girişimlerine karşı uyarıyor. Şube Müdürü Gamze Mera Çekin, AA muhabirine, vatandaşların sanal dünyada güvenliğini sağlamak için faaliyetlere devam ettiklerini söyledi. Bu kapsamda başarılı bir operasyonla 8 şüpheliyi yakaladıklarını belirten Çekin, "Vatandaşlarımızı IBAN bilgilerini paylaşmamaları ve güvenmedikleri sitelere girmemeleri konusunda uyarıyoruz. Eğer başlarına bir olumsuzluk gelirse de hızlı bir şekilde birimlerimize müracaat edebilirler." dedi. Çekin, tüm ekip arkadaşlarıyla özverili çalışıp suçlara karşı mücadelelerini kararlılıkla sürdüreceklerini vurguladı. Şubede görevli polis memuru Emre Yıldıran da siber alemde suçun önlenmesi ve gerçekleşen suçlar ile suçların tespitine yönelik çalıştıklarını anlattı. Mesai mefhumu gözetmeksizin görev yaptıklarını ifade eden Yıldıran, şunları kaydetti: "Dolandırıcılık, yasa dışı sanal bahis, müstehcenlik, tehdit ve hakaret konularında vatandaşlarımızı bilinçlendirmek amacıyla SİBERAY faaliyetlerini gerçekleştirmekteyiz. Ayrıca sanal devriye faaliyetleri neticesinde suç işlediği tespit edilen hesapların erişim engeli kararlarını uygulamaktayız. Siber suçlarla ilgili planlı olarak okullarda, Munzur Üniversitesinde, öğrenci yurtlarında ve kurumlarda faaliyetler yaptık. Yılın ilk 3 ayında yaklaşık 4 bin 500 vatandaşımızı bilgilendirdik."
