Dünyanın içinden geçtiği zor döneme işaret ederek bu dönemde birçok çatışmanın, gerilimin, iç savaşın, işgalin yaşandığını anımsatan Kurtulmuş, Türkiye'nin de içinde bulunduğu coğrafya itibarıyla bu türbülansların merkezinde bulunduğunu söyledi. Bölgeye bakıldığında, İsrail'in üç yıla yaklaşan süre içerisinde acımasızca, insafsızca ve bütün insani değerlerden uzak bir şekilde Gazze halkına saldırmasının, arkasından Suriye'ye, Yemen'e, İran'a, Katar'a ve birçok farklı ülkeye saldırmasıyla Orta Doğu'nun bir cehennem çukuruna döndürüldüğünü belirten Kurtulmuş, ayrıca Rusya-Ukrayna arasındaki savaşla da bir büyük gerilimin yaşandığını anımsattı. Dünyadaki diğer krizlere ve vekalet savaşlarına da işaret eden Kurtulmuş, şu değerlendirmede bulundu: "Böyle bir dünyada alışageldiğimiz şekilde yolumuza devam etmemiz mümkün değildir. Böyle bir ortamda Türkiye olarak güçlü bir şekilde yolumuza devam etmek, ayaklarımızı her bakımdan sağlam bir şekilde yere basmak ve Türkiye'yi daha ileriye götürecek olan perspektifleri geliştirmek mecburiyetindeyiz. Türkiye'nin yüzyılı olmasını ümit ve temenni ettiğimiz önümüzdeki yüzyılın sözü güçlü, gücü tesirli bir Türkiye Yüzyılı olarak gerçekleştirilmesinden başka bir şansımız yoktur. Bu coğrafyada, böyle bir ortamda, dünyanın bu kadar büyük gerilimler ve çatışmalar yaşadığı bir yerde, kimse Türkiye gibi güçlü bir ülkeye fırsat yaratmaz, alan açmaz, imkan sağlamaz. Bu çerçevede tabiri caizse kendi göbeğimizi kendimiz keseceğiz ve dünyanın bu kadar büyük sıkıntı rağmen güçlü, büyük Türkiye'yi oluşturmak için elimizdeki bütün imkanları sonuna kadar kullanacağız." Kurtulmuş, Türkiye'nin bir taraftan savunma sanayisi başta olmak üzere, yüksek teknolojilerde herkesin dikkatini çeken bir ülke haline geldiğini bir tarafta da Türkiye'nin özellikle Avrupa Birliği'nin, NATO'nun ve birtakım batı ittifaklarının, iç gerilimleri yüzünden seviye kaybettiği bir dönemde güvenilir bir müttefik olarak herkes tarafından algılandığını ve öne çıktığını vurguladı. TBMM Başkanı Kurtulmuş, Türkiye olarak Cumhuriyetin ilk asrını geride bıraktıktan sonra ikinci yüzyılda özgüvenle bakılacak bir döneme girildiğini aktararak "Henüz işin başındayız. Her şey bitmiş, her şey gerçekleştirilmiş ve gerçekten tam anlamıyla muktedir, çok güçlü bir cihan devleti kurabilmiş değiliz ama Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devleti'miz artık, bölgesel bir güç ve küresel bir aktör olmanın eşiğindedir ve bütün dünyada Türkiye'yi böyle tanımlamaktadır." dedi. Ülkede birlik, dirlik ve kardeşliğin tam olması gerektiğini ifade eden Kurtulmuş, şu ifadelere yer verdi: "Ülke içerisinde toplumun farklı kesimleri ne dini düşünceleri ne mezhep-meşrepleri ne etnik farklılıkları ne de farklı sosyal aidiyetleri üzerinden birbirlerini ötekileştirmeyecek, birbirine farklı bakmayacak. Biz hepimiz 'kamu alem birdir bizde' fikri etrafında birleşecek ve ortak bir ülküde, ortak bir hedefte bir araya geleceğiz. O da ülkemizin tam manasıyla güçlü bir küresel ülke olması, yeniden küllerinin üzerinden, Osmanlı'nın üzerinden Cumhuriyetimizin doğduğu gibi ikinci asrında da güçlü, büyük Türkiye'yi doğurma idealidir. Allah'a çok şükür bu noktada büyük mesafeler alıyoruz ama daha çok işimiz var. Bunun için içerideki birliğimizi, dirliğimizi kusursuz hale getireceğiz." Kardeş kavgalarıyla, silahlı çatışmalarla, terörle, yabancıların önünü açtıkları birtakım vekalet unsurları olan terör örgütlerinin işleriyle Türkiye'nin bir asrına kara bulut gibi çöküldüğünü vurgulayan Kurtulmuş, şöyle konuştu: "Bu ülkenin gelişmemesi için ayaklarına prangalar vurdular. Şimdi ikinci asrımızın hemen başında 'terörsüz Türkiye' hedefimizle birlikte önce bu prangalardan kurtuluyor ve Allah'ın izniyle var olan ezeli kardeşliğimizi ebedi bir kardeşlik haline getirmek için canla başla mücadele ediyoruz. Bu ülkede Türk'ü Kürt'e, Arap'ı Acem'e, bu ülkede Sünni'yi Şii'ye, Alevi'ye, bu ülkede Gürcü'yü Laz'ı bir başka etnik kökene kimsenin düşman etmeye gücü yetmedi. Bundan sonra da yetmeyecektir. Terörsüz Türkiye, sadece elinde silah olanların silahlarını bırakması değil, aynı zamanda insanların gönüllerine ve zihinlerine sokulmaya çalışılan husumetlerin de kaldırılıp atılması demektir, bunu sağlayacağız.” Kurtulmuş, Türkiye, bütün dünyada çatışma çözümlerinde örnek teşkil eden bir süreci başlattığını dile getirerek 5 Ağustos'ta TBMM'de başlatılan Milli Dayanışma, Kardeşlik ve Demokrasi Komisyonu'nun çalışmalarına ilişkin bilgi verdi. Komisyonun raporuyla bir yol haritasının benimsendiğini ve bu yol haritasıyla da terörün sona erdirilmesi için nelerin yapılabileceğinin tavsiye edildiğini belirten Kurtulmuş, sözlerini şöyle sürdürdü: "Siyaset olarak üzerimize düşeni yerine getirdik. Bundan sonra da yerine getireceğiz. Eğer terör örgütü şimdiye kadar beklendiği gibi üzerine düşen sorumlulukları eksiksiz yerine getirse ve ellerindeki silahları tamamen bırakmış olsaydı zaten bu mesele şimdiye kadar çoktan geride kalacak, çoktan hallolacaktı. Ancak TBMM bu konuda hem elinde silah olanlara 'silahlarınızı bırakın' çağrısını yapıyor hem de Türkiye'de yeni bir dönemin kapılarının açılabilmesi için siyasetin TBMM çatısı altında aktif bir şekilde iş yapmasını da bir önemli ödev olarak görüyor." Kimsenin siyasete bir ödev vermesine gerek olmadığını ifade eden Kurtulmuş, şöyle konuştu: "Meclisteki partilerin tamamının ittifakla çıkardığı bir rapor, siyasetin kendi meselesini özümsediği ve bu konuda atacağı adımların ne olduğunu gayet iyi bildiğini gösteriyor. Ümit ve temenni ediyoruz ki şimdiye kadar silahla Türkiye'de bir şeyler yapmaya kalkan örgüt elindeki silahlarını tamamıyla bırakır ve silahlı dönemin bütünüyle geride bırakılarak Türkiye'nin önündeki demokratik süreçler güçlendirilir. Bu çerçevede özellikle Suriye'deki grupların yeni Suriye yönetimiyle entegre olması ve bu entegrasyonun beklediğimiz gibi olumlu bir şekilde seyretmesi de işlerimizi kolaylaştıran bir başka faktördür. Aynı şekilde Amerika ve İsrail'in İran'a başlattığı savaşla birlikte, özellikle İran'da 'PJAK' denilen terör örgütü üzerinden onları silahlandırılarak halkın ayaklandırılmaya çalışılması senaryosu da fiyaskoyla sonuçlandıktan sonra artık terör örgütünün silah bırakmaktan başka hiçbir şansı yoktur ve söz verildiği gibi, vadedildiği gibi bu silahlar bırakılacak ve Türkiye'de tam manasıyla kardeşlik hakim olacaktır. Sadece silahtan ve terörden medet umanlara şunu söylemek isterim. Onlarca silahlı terör örgütüne on yıllar boyunca kimler hangi amaçla, niçin silah verdiler? Allah aşkına bu ülkeler değil midir hem ona hem ona silah verip bunları sahada çatıştıran. Bu ülkenin çocuklarına akıllı olmak yakışır. Bu ülkenin evlatlarına ortak milli hassasiyetlerimize sahip olmak yakışır. Bu ülkede Türk'ün, Kürt'ün birbirinden farkı yoktur, ayrı bir kaderi yoktur, ayrı bir geçmişi yoktur ve asla ayrı bir geleceği de olmayacaktır. Bu ülkede Alevi'nin ve Sünni'nin ayrı bir geçmişi yoktur, ayrı bir geleceği de olmayacak. Geçmişimiz birdir, kültürümüz birdir, ülkemiz birdir, bayrağımız birdir, geleceğimiz birdir. Bunu sağlamak için hep birlikte mücadele edeceğiz ve Allah'ın izniyle bu sefer kim ne yaparsa yapsın mutlaka sonuç alacağız ve terörü Türkiye'nin gündeminden ilanihaye kaldıracağız." Programda, Bursa Valisi Erol Ayyıldız, Bursa Büyükşehir Belediye Başkan Vekili Şahin Biba ile milletvekilleri de yer aldı. Basına kapalı gerçekleştirilen programın ikinci kısmında TBMM Başkanı Kurtulmuş, sivil toplum kuruluşlarının temsilcilerinin sorularını yanıtladı.
